Based in Miami's gateway market, we serve clients across the Americas, specializing in various industries such as food production, real estate, professional services and supply chain.
Led by Managing Director Steven Bartley, our team practices hands-on leadership in our searches and related consulting engagements.
Collaborating with a key team of associates and an extensive network of colleagues throughout the Americas, we deliver services under hybrid fee arrangements including retained, progress-based and outcome-based components.

Founder, Managing Director
- Initial 20-year career with global consulting firms (Accenture, PWC, Unisys) in Latin America and the US.
- Transitioned to retained executive recruiting in 2001, establishing the Miami “gateway” model.
- Founded Americas Gateway in 2012 as an independent boutique.
- Concurrently engaged in entrepreneurial ventures since 1998.
- Experienced speaker and published writer on technology and management.
- Holds BS in Management Science and MBA in International Management.
- Born in Uruguay to US parents, natively multicultural and biligual.

Monica Loria Araya
Recruiting Research / Consulting Lead
- 10-year career, beginning in HR roles with top hospitality leaders, OTC and 6 years working for seafood companies, 2 years as Head of HR for US office of a major global seafood company.
- Extensive ties to food and hospitality industries, with additional multi-industry experience.
- Based on experience w Great Place to Work companies, provides HR consulting in HR process improvement and setting up HR departments.
- Successfully recruited numerous executives in sales, operations, and administration, both in-house and with Americas Gateway for the past two years.

Jaime Pinaud
Associate Partner (Chile)
- Holds Psychology degree, having started work career in talent acquisition and HR consulting.
- Transitioned to internal HR functions with several leading Chilean entities (for profit and official entities) and an international career with Microsoft Latin America.
- Currently based in Santiago, Americas Gateway’s representative in Chile for local client and candidate needs and issues, leading engagements for positions in Chile, and providing remote support for US assignments.
